Hey Angela, I had to vent! Sometimes I write silly to break up the norm. Hope to see you at the banquet and Michael I have no disrespect to Dale Wilson. I just like the name Mr. Wilson. I have always liked the show Dennis the Menace. No harm done I hope to see you too at the banquet.

Re: Sloan Racing Engines

Sloan can build chevys too.
He did my last ZZ4 and it was really fast 10.40's in F/CM 1/4 mile. 6.40's in the 1/8th. In fact that motor will be in competition next year in another car.
Track support was great also. Hillary stepped out of her car and let me drive it once because I had troubles.
Whether Sloan can build a motor is not the debate here , it's the WHINE and Cheese crowd from that left coast organization that think they are better. How about ya'll Whine and cheezers go blow.
If you don't think these are real stockers look in the IHRA rule book and show me that they are not. If you don't like IHRA thats fine stay over there and let NHRA dictate when and where you can race. I'll stay over here in the Hill billy organization and race all the races if I want too.

One more thing I'm not bashing NHRA I may compete at an event or 2 next year. They have a rule book too and at that time I will have to go by them.

Thanks DuckTape, I would like Hillary and Mr. Sloan to know that the mister wilson that wrote the "i am a editorr" message is not The Orignal Good Ol Mr. Wilson, I don't know where he came from. I told the other side of the family to never leave him alone as he was very dangerous and to put him back in the closet. Make yourself know or shut the heck up, This is none of your business. If you have a problem with this look me up at The Rock next year and I will set you straight. Mr. Sloan is a straght up Guy. Case closed.

Sometimes you write silly to break up the norm? I won't even try to understand that.

If we were going to the banquet, how would we know if we met you or not since you're using an alias? Why not just tell us who you are exactly. Atleast tell us what publication you work for. Hey, I could help you edit!

You said in your first post you'd see us in December. I assumed you meant for the PRI show since it is in December. But now you said you'd see us at the banquet, which is next weekend, which is November. So which is it?

We're not going to the banquet anyhow. The past two years or three it's been in our back yard. The first year we would have wanted to go and it gets move back to Ohio. Isn't that just our luck?! The trip up there would cost us probably $600 (Nearly half our winnings) and would require us to take this Friday off (losing money at the shop and me losing a vacation day), and we'd miss the Footbrake Nationals this coming weekend at Farmington. If Scott would have won the World Championship we would of went. We finished 3rd in the World if you were wondering, thanks to the help of Sloan Racing Engines.

Michael Beard, please bring our Ironman back if they will let you and it's not an inconvenience and you have room. You better not get any scratches on it either.....ha ha....just picking :)

I had a old LS1 with a hole in the side of it sitting in my garage I thought it was junk. I gave it to Tim Sloan and he fixed ( built it from the hole in the block up including the heads ) it gave it back to me and it was a spare. This summer I put it in my car and it went 9.60 @ 3090lbs first pass, what a spare. He can build a fast Chevy.

Tim ,his family and shop are first class and everyone who knows them will tell you the same. He also can throw a heck of a party

LOL! Thanks to you, Bo. We all appreciated it. :)

Angela - if you drop Sherrie Barbour a line at IHRA, I'm sure she'd set your trophies aside for me to transport back for you.

Re: Sloan Racing Engines

Okay, so I go out of town for two days and come home to find this JUNK. I probably should not respond to this, but here goes.......

First of all, whatever business goes on between us and Bertozzi/Hudlow will stay that way. It is not our place to tell you what we did to their motors, nor is it any of your BUSINESS. Robbie chose to put our decal on his hood. We did not make him. If you want to know anything about Bertozzi's/Hudlow's motors, then the best thing I can tell you is to ask them because we are not discussing it. No need to broadcast their personal business on here!!!

I am so flattered that you keep up with what motors that we are building and what makes good horsepower and what doesn't. If you kept up with half as much as you say, then you would already know that we have never built a D/CM motor, much less tried twice. We have done some D/CM heads for some local people that run crate motor, but we have not built a motor that runs D/CM, end of story.

I particularly loved your suggestion that we stick with mopars. If you had even read the posts on this topic, then you would know that Lee Truell qualified #1 at the Jackson divisional with our motor.......in a CHEVY!!!!!!

I will see you at the banquet, but as Angela says, I will never know it because you are hiding behind "Mr. Wilson."

P.S. I thought you could only post once a month.......looks to me like you have plenty of time on your hands.
