Myron you are right I have had 3 sets of Holeshot wheels one set is about 12 years old and Joe and Marlene were the best ever to deal with. I also had some Motor Wheel flys they were cool but hard to keep looking good. I have 2 front super tricks now one is kinda polished the other original wish some one could get them like they were new???? Any ideas?

The super tricks bring back lots of memories for me I bought a set of fronts from JC Penny in 1971 I was 16 yrs. old from there catalog yep they had a speed section just like Jegs or Summit now but not as big. I also went to a place in Columbus Ga. called the racing pit and bought a set of front tires they were Formula 1 Superstock I'm sure some old goats like me remember them?

Could glass beading both of them give a similar appearance? Not sure how to protect it from oxidizing afterwards, unless there is a good clearcoat available.

lol Yea, we had a JC Penny speed shop here in Daytona too. I drove to West Palm Beach once just to buy stuff from a Nationwise (Rod Shop) store.

Clearcoat will work on the Tricks but don't do it on the flys. Magnesium will oxidize even with clearcoat on it. A buddy did a set of magnesium wheels on a cobra kitcar and they started turning white under the clear. A real pain to fix that screwup.

Yes I had some Fly magnesium front runners re-finished and cleared... oxidized underneath the clear... good news was the clear pealed off in sheets. Gibbs works very well.

occasionally Monty will shutdown the website to "weed out" the trolls, just remember that if you post in trash or be trashed.........there are NO moderators and nothing, I mean nothing is ever deleted.

Good luck on the 'bullet and have fun, it's a ride

What makes Holeshot great is there customer service! I bought my first set over 10 years ago and they were just as friendly then as now. A little more pricy than some but the quality is worth it and the service also. They can build most anything you want and never complain about it. They are 3 piece wheels and I have bought halves from them to make different widths not many will do that or even offer it. Joe and Marlene first class.

Too soon for Super/Tricks to make a come back. We all had them WHEN they were cool. They are not cool now.

Oh sure their "cool"! Super Tricks were the real original Sportsman racing wheel and will ALWAYS be cool! I still have a set of polished ST's on my Dodge Demon SS car. Just redid the fronts and replaced the original bolts with stainless steel. Rears are next. Jim

As long as we are living in the past,I would vote for bringing back the Fenton "Sharks" Back in the good old days I got my first set free from Fenton . I remember running the 41/2" on the rear with 6" wrinkle walls.
What a ride. Then Fenton wanted to get the Sharks off the market and would trade a set of Sharks for their new "Gyro" Sharks seemed to crack and break around the center cap area.

Re: Super Tricks Reborn!

Never got a response for what is a good price for some Fenton Gyro's
