NHRA announces the race to the Middle!!!!
 

Since the majority of the Pro racers have said they will not race another 4 wide event in regular points type competition,NHRA is ready to announce on thursday April 1,a new type of circus drag racing event.It will be called the "Race to the Middle.It will start 2 cars each end of the track and the first car to the middle wins!!Nhra says that this will also cut operating expenses since the starting line crew at one end will also the shut down crew at the other end.They will also be able to sell twice as many starting line tickets since there will be two starting lines.NHRA also says any extra revenue generated by this race ,will be put in the Sportsmen Racers Fund!!

In a old Cartunes book from the sixties the little old lady from pasadena paid to have this modification done to the local dragstrip, so the spectators could watch a start and a finish. ... Thanx Trevor
