Saying that bracket racers are trying to get rid of heads-up runs in S/SS racing is like saying bracket racing is too complicated to explain to spectators. It's a popular argument, but one that doesn't hold water upon closer inspection.

The primary focus of my statement was bracket racers that WANT to race in S/SS, who currently DO NOT race in S/SS. Those that DO race in S/SS and want to see heads-up runs dropped are those that are not competitive against their respective indexes.
Those names on your list were not even remotely what I was talking about.
As I said, that was my opinion and it is based on many conversations with many racers (in S/SS) over the years.
And as you may or may not have noticed over the years, I too am in favor of more heads up runs, not less. I'm definitely for sticks and autos being grouped together, 1 pound weight breaks and / or combining classes (like Top Stock grouping). But that's another topic for another thread...
