Since this Rambler American 2 door sedan is shown at a NHRA santioned track, in M/SA, how is he allowed to run that scoop, functional or not? Wouldn`t that be like a 68-69 Barracuda with a 340, 383, or 440 Stocker using a SS/AH Hemi hood scoop? Or a cowl induction hood on a 67-68 Z/28, or Boss 429 scoop on a 428 CJ Mustang? Just curious.
Refer back to my post on page 1.It came from the NHRA rulebook.I don't know which one though, the East coast or West coast version.
The SC/Ramblers were all 2 dr non post cars,390,4speed in A and B paint schemes. All had functional ram air setups. They built 1512 of them. They cost $2,995.Road test times were 14.30 with grandma driving. They really would go 13.90s.
