Can you imagine the profound effect this ensuing Hydro debacle had on Mike Schmitt, his having started the whole thing? At one time, in about 1970, every Stock Class record from about E/SA down to the bottom Automatic class (N/SA???) was held by some sort of Chevy/Hydro combination. Hell, there were '57 Fuelie motor (283 HP) sedan deliveries in profusion...
