I figure here was a car guy just like us-only he had a pocket full of money to spend. Maybe he had a $200k cd sitting in the bank at .75% interest. Or his stock broker called him with (another) hot stock tip and he said screw it, I'm going to buy a car i can go to the garage and look at, drive or keep it for a couple years and resell it and make money. (Unless he buys a Ray Allen car). No sense in letting someone else have fun with that money.

If I had his money, I'd do the same thing.

The part that I don't like is that I would like to find a 63-67 Corvette that I want to restore myself. BJ has drove the prices so high that I cant find a reasonable priced project car.
By the time I pay top dollar for a car and restore it, the cost will be prohibitive. I won't buy a finished car. Not my style.

I have a friend and neighbor that collects 63-67 vettes as well as selling them . He has them from $38,000.00 and up (35 of them )..... All are drivers and some are restored as B J cars ....He would beat B J's prices all day long........
