Ed, take a look at the links below and tell me that there is not a car for everyone's taste and budget.

I like the first one a whole lot, and I'm sure you do to.

I know there is lots of hype, but it sure is nice to see what comes across the block.

Hate to tell you Ed but the end of finding a car on the cheap by an uninformed seller pretty much died with the internet followed by ebay.

I made a lot of money buying and selling muscle cars in the mid-late '80's because I knew where I could find the rust free AZ examples and you could negotiate with somebody for a fair price. I'd then write an ad for Hemmings and wait for a buyer.

Now the deals are much harder to come by because as you stated correctly, everybody has a reference source.

Kenny- These prices are very affordable even for someone just beginning to collect muscle cars - the '69 GTO was a steal for a restored piece and the Boss 302 was reasonable for sure ....................

I saw Rick Hendrick buy a car. Announcer said that was his third car he purchased at BJ.
I figure here was a car guy just like us-only he had a pocket full of money to spend. Maybe he had a $200k cd sitting in the bank at .75% interest. Or his stock broker called him with (another) hot stock tip and he said screw it, I'm going to buy a car i can go to the garage and look at, drive or keep it for a couple years and resell it and make money. (Unless he buys a Ray Allen car). No sense in letting someone else have fun with that money.

If I had his money, I'd do the same thing.

The part that I don't like is that I would like to find a 63-67 Corvette that I want to restore myself. BJ has drove the prices so high that I cant find a reasonable priced project car.
By the time I pay top dollar for a car and restore it, the cost will be prohibitive. I won't buy a finished car. Not my style.

Go out and try to buy a decent condition model of car that these idiots over inflate and see what the owner wants for it.
I want to see what you'll say this summer when gas goes to about $3.50 to $4.00 a gallon.
I'll bet you won't take that sitting down.

Ed my truck is a diesel. It's the only set of wheels I have for the road. Diesel fuel is $3.25 a gallon last time I bought some on Monday. Not much I or you or anyone else can do about the price of fuel except pay up or walk.

Rich people have been rich for as long as I can remember and I have been working for about the same amount of time.....

Something doesn't make any sense to me with your posts lately man.....Your sounding like you took a big step to the left.........Democrats want to take from the Rich to support the less fortunate.......Republican Rich folks point out that this is America......you ain't happy go do something about it.....I pretty much agree with the Republican Rich even though I am a worker bee.....and laways have been. Being rich is not necessarilly all that great if you take a look at many of them.....they just have a lot more STUFF.......

I'm having fun with this so don't take me to seriously. It's winter......boy is it ever! What the heck happened to that global warming crap and where is ALGORE so we can ask him about it......

The black 55 was his 3rd or 4th of the day. He bought a handful of various cars on Friday, also.

My best bud that I race with and attend Yankee games with has a '66 or '67 Corvette convertible. 427/435. I put an engine together for him for it. Call it period correct with date codes very close to original I believe it was an orginal 427/435 but the engine was gone. He removed the body a year or two ago and spiffed up the frame and suspension. He rarely drives it........It's like a savings account to him I think.

I also have a buddy with a nearly totally orginal and correct '70 Boss 429 Mustang. I don't think it has seen the light of day in 20+ years. It was once appraised at something like $50K but that was a long time ago......He syas it's his retirement..........

I have a friend and neighbor that collects 63-67 vettes as well as selling them . He has them from $38,000.00 and up (35 of them )..... All are drivers and some are restored as B J cars ....He would beat B J's prices all day long........

I have a friend in western Md who was and maybe still is one better known guys in NCRS.
Last I heard he has somewhere north of 45 Corvettes in his garage. They are all 1-3's on a 1-5 scale. I hate show up at his house cause I know what the outcome will be.

I will never forget the sound of that 63 fuel car with the gas pedal on the floor.
