Lax tech at our old track KCIR has helped with this thought process. And a local 1/8 mile unsanctioned track reinforces the same thought process. My local track is an unsanctioned outlaw track. Reputation wise, it's not great. It is a place to race and test. My take, if one doesn't feel comfortable at a track, use your best judgement.
