Thoughts on Sanctioned vs Nonsanctioned tracks

I agree Insurance would be the determining factor. But I am dealing with a group that thinks its ok to have multiple passengers, no tech. Lax tech at our old track KCIR has helped with this thought process. And a local 1/8 mile unsanctioned track reinforces the same thought process. Just curious what other parts of the country deal with.

My local track is an unsanctioned outlaw track. Reputation wise, it's not great. It is a place to race and test. My take, if one doesn't feel comfortable at a track, use your best judgement.
