Records

Record Set 10 points
- Can't set the same record more than twice in a year
- Record must be .75 under the index or greater

I think that's pretty simple and a fair place to start.
Your proposal is fair to no one except individuals who race newer model cars or have a ton of money to spend on changing combos everytime they want to race for points. This would virtually eliminate the "average" stock/superstock racer for winning a division or other championship.

This is a silly thread anyway, NHRA will never consider a proposal like this as it would eliminate competitors. Also, I never said anything about eliminating heads-up runs in competition, maybe that's your suggestion?
