This is a silly thread anyway, NHRA will never consider a proposal like this as it would eliminate competitors. Also, I never said anything about eliminating heads-up runs in competition, maybe that's your suggestion?

Wasn't it the rule years ago to award qualifying points? I know that points were awarded for record setting years ago.
I've qualified in the top 10 at about 40 NHRA races, and I've never raced a car newer than 5 years old. And everyone on here knows I don't spend much money. I just pulled my motor after 300 or so runs on gas ported pistons.
