I reckon ya got it right, except for the fact that it's an insurance 'Knee jerk' reaction, I think it comes from a cry-baby law suit that they cant handle. ie , gotta pay.
Let's face the facts, NHRA is broke and has been for the last 6-7 years. ( Bruce, chime in if ya want) !
What do ya do ? Ya gotta cut cost's and ya liabilities.
MR. Lawyer says there is a proven case for tethers on headers cause ONE person complained and made some quick cash and that set's the precedent, game over !
