Restricting individuals from participating in a staged TV show about "street racing" could be the prelude to restricting people who race with other sanctioning bodies. This tv show is legal and really not nhra's business. I do understand them not wanting Nhra stickers on a car or maybe the nhra competition numbers but trying to restrict what individuals do by threats to suspend their racing privelige with Nhra seems rather stupid. I've been racing for more than 30 years and have seen the numbers of spectators and competitors steadily decline. The folks that run nhra don't have a clue. They are so dependent on two or three pro teams for their livelihood, that if anything happens to one or two of those teams the whole deal would fall apart. What they are doing to these folks is heavy handed and not in the best interests of the organization. It makes the management look clueless, something a lot of us already think they are.
