Assuming you have the Corvette fork that looks like this:



You have to cut material away from the end to make the slot wide enough for a 3/8" Heim joint to slide in so you can put a pin through the holes in the fork and the joint. You should be able to figure out how to make your stuff fit from there. Here's a picture I found on the internet that shows some linkage rods with Heim ends.

Rather than mess with the steel pieces and welding a stuff, the last setup I made used 5/8" x .125" wall aluminum tube. Much easier. Cut to length and thread the inside (you will need right and left hand 3/8-24 taps). Works good.
