Yes, I was running a 69 chevelle with a 427/425 combo, with aftermarket heads rated at 435 hp. The car is owned by Will Carrell out of Oklahoma and he's done an awesome job building this combo. Regardless of the head, the factor is still done with the advertised hp (425).

The shipping weight is 3611. When doing the math,

3611/425 = 8.496....hence the dilemma. I did the math and Will brought it to NHRA's attention that it should be a natural A car, similar to what Larry mentioned above. Pat was in agreement that the excel sheet was incorrectly rounding the factor up. He adjusted the excel sheet this week prior to us entering the national event on Thursday. We did not enter the class until the sheetvwas changed online.

This was all done because AA at a minimum of 3430 is much more attractive than C at 4000+ lbs. Not to mention that it is much more safe.

If anyone would like to discuss this, PM me and l will give you my phone number.

Also for the record, the car is really cool and wheelie fun to drive.
Austin, congratulations to both you and Will, and thank you! Good luck racing that car.

By no means was I complaining, questioning, or saying you did anything wrong, Austin. You got them to move that combination to a natural A combination, finally, and I'm glad you did. Thanks again.
