How does one get the

Ford Racing M-6010-BOSS35192 Boss 351 block

approved for 351C application as its nearly impossible to find any usable used cores now days?

I see that he Boss 302 is on the list as is the GM bowtie over the counter blocks

The Ford Racing block is windsor style so I doubt you would ever get it approved as an acceptable replacement.

That is what I thought, but since ford spends money with the nhra.......on another thought.

Is the buttermore block legal? I don't see why it wouldn't be

I am aware of that also...it is a nice piece. I just want something to fly through tech before I spend a bunch of money and time on it only to be bounced the first time the combo lights up the scoreboard....

There are 2 ss cars I know that run Cleveland heads on SVO 9.2 deck blocks and claiming "Cleveland" in NHRA. I asked NHRA if this is allowed and I received the "deer in headlights" look. That is why I went to modified, Call Perogie Enterprises in NJ, I just sent 3- 4 bolt Cleveland blocks to them.

I got the SVO blocked approved by the division 10 years ago. The block has the same deck height and main bearings as the Cleveland, but with different oiling and water outlet systems. The crank, rods, pistons, heads, manifold, and so on are all the same. The blocks are just more readily available and can be bored 0.60 or better without having to sleeve every hole. There is no real performance advantage, especially considering that the SVO blocks are heavier than the production Cleveland blocks. The approval was based on logic; the same logic used to approve Bowtie, Mopar, Dart and any other racing block found in class racing.
