I have always been under the impression that rule book called out "maximum two 1/4" carb base gaskets"? I was told by reputable long time stock racer that its just two gaskets with no specific thickness! Not sure it make any big difference but dose anyone have clarity?

From 2015 Rulebook, "Carburetor heat-insulator-type gaskets prohibited. Maximum of two stock-type gaskets permitted".

Jeff, I think that open style gasket is OK for a open plenum intake manifold,, but on a stocker cast manifold, it should be a 4 hole , shouldn't ?

For what its worth, several years ago we tested with the open gasket vs. the 4 hole gasket on the dyno and the 4 hole gasket made slightly more power and torque with our combination.
