Default Pro-trans VS McClay metric

Im looking to buying a new Trans for the up coming season, but i cant decide which way i should go, and on top of that im having a hard time figuring out which ratio would be best for a BBC. im looking at going either with a pro-trans or a metric. what are your thoughts on either of these transmissions, and what would be the ratio suited for a BBC.

We run Pro Trans in ALL our race cars.....It made a dramatic difference
in our performance!

Dave is happy to help figure out the optimum ratios for our varied
combos. Only a segment of potential possibilities he can build are
optimal........Too complicated for my elderly mind.

Pro Trans made a significant difference.....
Now qualify top 16 rather than towards the middle of the pack with our old junk.

I do not know what brand or which eliminator you are running......But if the Smiths build
it: It will work RIGHT.

I'm running a 70 nova in B/SA. I have been running TH400 for the last 9 years and it works great, I have never had any issues with it, at this point i would like to try my luck with something a little more light weight and trick. I would also like to play with ratios, but I'm unsure witch way to go with that. Pro trans is on my radar for sure! If you don't mind me asking how many runs are you getting out of your pro trans?

You are in Div. 1, simply call Jack Sepanek. He works with Pro Trans, and is much closer for rebuilds. You won't be dissapointed.

I do not want to name names......It was a major trans builder and we utilized the Alum Drums and Straight cut gears from Protrans in our transmissions ...........trying to save a couple bucks.

I will not poor mouth anyone.........They held up well and the transmissions worked great just not the same performance as Dave Smith builds by a Tenth!

Dave has been doing this for 40 plus years that I remember.

You buy the BEST........You only cry ONCE!
