The internet service at the Valley is quite poor, but here a quick rundown of today. The field is on the lite side, but the stk and SS turnout is strong with 85 stockers and 50-55 SS cars on the grounds. The top dog in stock after todays qualifiers is Jean Philippe Tremblay in his FS/H 2012 Mustang @ -1.002. He is the only car to go a sec. Under. Sorry SS fans, I don’t have the SS sheets.
The weather has been iffy, with a few rain drops now and then, a whopping 29.1 barometer, but comfortable mid 60 degree temps and moderate humidity. All was good until around 5 when some heavy rain showers passed through, ending the racing for the day. Everybody got two shots, but they didn’t get the clean ups in or finish any of the very well supported quick 8’s. The track has been decent, not much sun has helped a bunch. Tomorrow everyone gets one more shot then into eliminations. The schedule calls for two rounds of stock, we’ll see what happens.
