A question Mr. Reptile may have the answer for, but how do I get this thing to stop leaking. Oil comes out around the area the arrow is pointing to. (Not sure of the correct name) This isn't a shaft that turns but turning the input will get oil leaking around the edges here. It isn't coming from the bearing cover. I've tried putting a thin skim of sealer over it but the leak persists. I'm at the point I need a drain plug in my bellhousing as it's always got gear oil inside.. Suggestions??

And yes, almost everyones Jerico's leak. Seem to be fine when new but as soon as you take them apart it's drip city. Mine is good except for the front. I use The right Stuff and as mentioned RTV sucks. Dale

I think Ferrea valves is now selling Hylomar, so most places that handle Ferrea should be able to get you some Hylomar. You see it at parts houses too, in the regular sealant section.

Hylomar is a product of Permatex Co. I know that the larger NAPA stores carry it also the O'Reilly parts chain has it---Stuff works great for head gaskets to--Follow the directions and it will work--They make a tube/brush on I think altho I have always used the AEROSOL kind---Stuff is not cheap about $15 or more for a small aerosol can but it is a great product---Patterson Engines uses it in most of their engines for a head gasket sealant---Comp
