I got a email from the div 6 rep the other evening asking for input on whether aftermarket crankshafts and seats should be allowed in stock and I've been wondering since how long it will be before NHRA does away with stock and super stock and just calls us stock appearing. The payouts are nil and running for class is not what it used to be, They sure don't seem to want to police us anymore so why have the rules anyways?
I think we are seeing the end of what it used to be.

Yeah, it would be nice to have a more restrictive type stock eliminator class like it was before 1984.
That's why I am so attracted to the IHRA Pure Stock class....I can actually build a car with stock parts. ![]()

And aftermarket forgings are already legal in Super Stock. Wonder how many people who wanted roller rockers in Stock Eliminator will now complain about aftermarket crankshafts?

We probably have as long as we want to race. I do not have a problem with after market seat and replacement seats. Stock and Super Stock is mostly a bracket race , a rather expensive one at that.

Long over due on both , who knows maybe the crank and seat manufacture will pay contingency . Win win for everybody. I voted yes
