Default Starting point

Hi everyone, I was on here last year with the turbo 400! well that's gone and I got the glide now.

My car is 3545 race weight and goes 10.40's all out so I don't have much to stop. Am I correct in thinking due to the weight I should come off the stop in first gear? I'm looking to fast track the learning curve a bit. I also haven't set my cruise rpm yet either. 5200 rpm stall converter. If you guys have any starting suggestions I'd like to hear them.

Thanks,
Brad
