If you can find them anywhere, GM made one around 0.028". I think the one Mr. Gasket makes is thicker. The only other choice is either dead soft copper from some place such as Hussey or SCE, or a Cometic.

Old # used to be 1131 MR G I recall. Bore was 4.37 though.

I think I still have a set of GM ( I think .015 ) Steel gaskets. I will look in the morning and get the part # off of them. |

Glenn… I've been using the MR.GASKET 1131G they are .018 -.020 thick and coated. They are 4.370 Bore and economical. Hope this helps. MB.

GM # 14015351----steel shim .022 thickness -----4.250 bore----- STEEL HEADS ONLY------seal with alum spray paint-----re-torque after first heat cycle-- or look for LS-6 OEM gaskets ---also check quench area clearance very important!!!! FED 387

What FED 387 said, the #14015351 are the gaskets I have. Sorry I thought they were for a 396.

GM# 3993890 would be the one you would want,.022 thick,small bore(4.125).Or old stock Victor equiv..The problem is they are hard to find,the Mr.G, Rocket, etc are all big bore generic BB. gsa612
