I just wanted to ask the question, not looking for any negative feedback. I'm impressed with Fords involvement with the new car even being a Chevy guy.
From what I read though all the 50 produced cars were sticks. So how can so many be changing them over to autos? 1968 395/375 Camaros for instance are stick only because supposedly Chevy didn't put a turbo 400 behind them until 1969. |

Troy,
The CJ's can be order with a stick or auto. I believe there are a few from the factory with an auto. Unlike the '68 396/375 that could not be order with an auto. |

OH!! yes they were stick only cars. Just like the 302 Z/28. But thanks to division tech director they now are not.

WRONG ! I owned one for a short while and so did my best friend. We bought them NEW off the showroom floor. One was white with black stripes. The other was RED with black stripes. Turbo 400's with 350 cu. inches and they were 1970 Z-28's
