What are the Mopar 340 or 360 Stock racers using for blocks? Would like using a R block but am totally confused looking at Mopar Performance website. I know there are none on the approved list, but getting one approved is not an issue.

I think most racers are using either the R block or the new P numbered blocks. That is if they have any. Several versions. Most like the small journal (318/340) in any of them. So many people in the whole mess have the Honda journal stuff anyway. Original dated blocks are probably worth more to the restorers than racers. Just for a footnote, if budget or availability prevent it, I would use a magnum block. The metal is better, and the bores are in the middle of the metal casting and are usually available in the junk yard. They will oil through the shaft or through the pushrod.

R-block is the most popular but NOT currently available. I agree on the magnum platform or go old school and Block fill a oe block OR the new Ritter blocks are approved but the are Beefy and VERY heavy! I have a picture of one and I will see if I can get it to post here.
