His 60' was a 1.38 and no he did not lift. I had the best seat in the house for that run and the other side of that time slip.
Jack..sorry to hear you broke. Bringing out the 'bird for the rest of the season?

I'll answer your question on why was there three bye runs in round 2 of SS.
************************************************** **********************************

Sal Biondo had the scheduled rd 2 bye after getting a bye run in rd 1 (when #2 qualifier frank modugno was a no-show).

David Barton got a rd 2 bye because #1 qualifier and record setter (joe garbarine) did not show for his first rd bye (and gave David a free pass in rd 2).

Frank Aragona got a free run in rd 2 also because his opponent was supposed to be the winner of the Greg Porter (who no-showed for rd 1) and Rich Diorio. Rich attempted his bye but something happened to his throttle (stuck???) and after a long burnout, he shut off and was pushed back (don't know if he was dq'ed or broke). That gave Aragona the rd 2 bye.

Jerry - I'd like to have what he spent this weekend - after watching teardown Friday afternoon that had at least 5 guys working on that CJ it left on an open trailer to a unknown shop to be put back together and I watched it come back into the track early Saturday morning on the same trailer to race first round - and it ran well . And truthfully after seeing that engine apart I hope they sell them with a very thick manual ........................As a side note - the "crew" that were working on his CJ worked better together than some Top Fuel teams I've watched ! ! !

And what a very fortunate break for them!! Broke the motor in the semis!!! I understand Zane was waiting in the lanes for the final, when they called it due to curfew!!!
