there is already a pretty good crowd tonight.

I would say if it came down to running 2 races in 1 day they would probaly start earlier,we started @ 7am Sunday @ Clay City to beat the heat and were done by 11:30am if that went right 5pm have the second race done

The only way to do that would be complete 1st race then start second race.

Div.4 at Crandall ran 2 races at same time. 1st round 1st race then 1st round 2nd race. Really worked out well.

That was a '70 AMX, not a Javelin. Eugene Chipps from Fairmont WV.

There were two other SS AMX's there too from WV.

Sorry, isn't AMX the performance version of Javelin body?
We were pit neighbors with the AMX guys,Brian Fain,Mike Withers And Eugene Chipps all weekend had good time just could'nt remember or did'nt catch Eugene's name.

Also forgot to congratulate Phil Combs on setting his first record J\SA

Mike it was good to meet you. I enjoyed your company and that of the neighboring Eppersons. You are right on both counts the london dragway folks did a good job and the AMX was offered as a two door coupe with only two seats in 68,69 and 70. The javelins of that vintage had a longer wheel base and a back seat. The fenders ,hood and doors are same.
I too would like to extend by congradulations to Scotty Stillings and my buddy Eugene Chipps who were the respective winners and runner-up in Super Stock in both races.

That track must have come a long way since May of 2011. I was there for the first
Pro-Am, and of the 7 passes I made that weekend, my car spun on 5 of them. It even spun in 2nd gear. I had no time slips that weekend that were anywhere near the same. That is why I didn't go back to this race.
