Default Re: Automatic Horsepower Factoring System

Adger said, " I watched this happen a couple of years a go when Dan Fletcher "saved" a class index by making quite a few "Just over .50 under" runs. It pulled the Avg back under 1 sec for the class."

That statement "saved a class index" confused me. This has been about horsepower factors, not class indexes.

Did Fletcher "save" the factor for a particular engine combo, or did he prevent a class index from being changed?

"Saved a class index" makes it sound like the latter, and I don't think that's what you meant....

Straighten me out on this, please, Adger.... I'm having a lot of trouble understanding exactly what went on.

Thanks for any information.
Bill
