Robert, I bought a powerglide that was built by Sepanek. I did purchase it used but was supposed to be fresh from Sepanek and from a racer in his home town area. I dont know if someone else had been in that trans after it left Sepaneks shop. It had mismatched parts and someone had shimmed up the clearances to make it work. After a number of runs it finally tore up and ruined my convertor too boot. Needless to say I was real surprised when I took it apart and figured out why it broke. I had heard good things about Sepanek as well.

One thing I have learned is buying a fresh any thing is risky. Unless you are actually picking it up at the place that supposedly freshened it.
