Default Re: Ford 302 stocker camshaft ?

Pat, Yes !! I currently have a 68 Mexican block w/ Ford 5.0 lifters. To use the factory lifters you need to order a spider kit and drill and tap the block. Note: this needs to be done before the cam bearings go into the block. The two holes you will be drilling just happens to hit the cam number #2 and #4 cam bores. NHRA has approved aftermarket retro fit lifters w/tie bars. Many companies offer these lifters. NHRA did not approve them until after my engine was assembled. I hope this helps.
