Six cylinder Super Stockers???

The 1968 Firebird with the 250 OHC and Q-jet is NHRA rated at 215 with a weight break of 14.49 a natural SS/M car. The Pontiac and the Hyper Pack were NHRA rated the same as the factory h.p. rating and they look high to me. It looks like Super Stock might be a hostile environment for these six's.

Lots of AMC's would fit including the almighty 77 Gremlin rated really high for SS @ 160, its 148 for stock. The limiting factor is getting enough fuel to flow out of the old hard to find 2 barrell carbs to run the index @ 12.65 for a PA and 12.50 for a P. You might see a few more if the holley 2 barrell could be used as a replacement carb. My 16 year old son likes the idea of slow SS.
