Default Re: Welding- Mig Or Tig

like mentioned tig is the most controlled of welding and with some practice great results can be achieved
if you a planning a roll bar install and chrome is your choice of material, tig is a must but practice is a must bench welding is one thing ,getting to all of the seams of your roll bar that it is in your car "not easy"
alot of planning a head will make this easy

a mild steel bar can be mig welded inplace and also can produce great results with practice

if purchasing a welder and the tig is of choice, make sure you get a machine that has a water cooled nozzle ,this way when you tackle some aluminun projects the tungsten will not over heat and melt in to your welding project

with any kind of welding preping your work is key for the best results gmonde
