The only dis advantage is the weight. On a 9 sec. stocker the slicks might be better, but there are 7 and 8 second street cars running DOT radials. I already run DOT legal M/T drag radials on my T-Bird Stocker at NHRA events. It runs low 12's and the car runs almost the same with 30 inch bias ply slicks or 28 in. M/T DOT drag radials.
