I have had Strange and Wilwood on the rear of my 68 and both did the job well. Front is a different issue. First kit was Wilwood street that converted the drum front spindle to disc and worked well when the car was street/strip. Strange stopped better but didn't release the caliper like expected. I currently have dropped all my pennies on Baer SS4 Staging Brakes and they look good but haven't had a full season on them yet.
Manual or Power? I gave up trying to get my 75 yo leg to go manual and am returning to power with a Leeds MC. The whole MC thing is a big pile of math. You need to know the number of pistons and area per caliper as well as the bore of the MC to correctly select a good caliper/MC combo. Look up how to choose a brake system for drag racing or master cylinder math on the net. Here's a link to Mark Williams https://www.markwilliams.com/braketech.html
