I don't know what would be more shocking, actually getting back on the track in something with some power, or driving a bow tie. The car may burn to the ground with my Mopar body in it! LOL. I'd hate to have to wrench on someone elses car like that. I have 3 FWD turbo Dodges and two muscle mopars. With a Chevrolet I wouldn't know which end has the fuse for the dynomite.

Sorry, back on topic. GO CARDINALS!!! Oops A.D.D. is rough.

Guys, I talked to Tom (Gould) last week and he is planning to run some NHRA this year. He is planning on going to the Div. 2 race at Gainesville next month. If he can get enough grading points he wants to run at The Carolina Nationals in Sept. If you are at Gainesville next month stop by and see the GRAY GHOST. It is probably the oddest combo still racing in Stock. Mike

Did anyone ever run the 4 cylinder version of the Chevy II?

I really like the Tri-5 stuff, any 55-57 Chevy Super Stocker will put me on the fence.

Remember Ron Filkins' Black Death '57? also one of my favorites....

Steve Tarrance held the record in X/S with a '67 Chevy II. I am not sure if it was a 4-banger or a 194" six.

How about Minneapolis/St. Paul's Richard Charbonneau's '66 (or, '67?) Fairlane wagon with a dual-quad, 425hp FE motor and a 4-speed??? Doesn't get a whole lot weirder than that, unless you remember Helena, Arkansas' Jack Mullins, who had a Pontiac station wagon (about a '63???) running in Super Stock with a manual transmission, and winning a lot... and, I'm not at all sure about this, but I THINK it was a 2-bbl car. Anybody remember the carburetor on that car? (Dwight?)
