Mark,
Thanks for the info. Would you say the same for a '66 Pontiac in GTO trim with the 335 HP 389? Same 2-speed transmission, same Carter carb, same valve size (though different heads), more compression and more cam lift???

Same deal there. The 62 389 has de-factored quite a bit, so there's a precedent there.
You'd have to live with a 1.76 low gear too

You could write a letter to 1-800- CRY-NHRA, but I hear that office is boarded up.
