For cold valve lash, for the first time start up:
With an iron block and iron heads, I set mine about 0.004" to 0.006" loose. With an iron block and aluminum heads, I set mine about 0.006" tight. Hope that helps.

Yes Bob, I do. It seems to work pretty well. I tend to err to the tight side on lash, as a general rule, I don't like stuff bouncing around loose.
