I think it is interesting how the two PC Richard cars are within a few hundredths of their E.T's that they ran at the Dutch 4 days ago yet their indexes are roughly .25 higher... Really puts some legitimacy to the factoring and the records that get set there.

Floyd, remember its a alt adjusted index event so you can let it hang out cause of the "weird" indexes.

I forgot about that. They still probably won't want to tip their hand too far.

I race in Las Vegas. The static altitude is around 2,400 ft. plus or minus. But when we race what really matters as most of you know is corrected air density,. temp and humidity. I have seen air as low as 1,600 hundred feet to 5,900 feet! That really plays into how you dial your car. As far as the SS/AH index goes National Dragster latest edition shows 9.99. Today the fastest hemi can, John Raines (first round) ran 8.732 on a new 9.84. The automatic cars have had to add weight from what I have heard. As far as the new Mustangs go, I think they are awesome and a well needed shot in the arm for stock and super stock....along with the Dodge Challengers and (hopfully) Cameros. BUT THEY NEED ANOTHER CLASS! I don't think it's fair to all the development that has happened over all the years on 427 Cameros,Mopars, Fords, etc. Maybe AAA/S Just my thoughts, I started drag racing in 1960 and I am in awe of you guys that seriously race in stock and super stock. I just race an old Thunderbolt in nostalgia and brackets!! Best to you all!!
