Which is it people? You can't complain the AHFS doesn't work AND tell people to lift after 1000' so the combo doesn't have to take the hit.

If I were the NHRA I'd automatically DQ any pair of racers who lifted after 1,000 foot unless they both could show the mechanical failure that forced their time to fall off in the last 320'. But as I'm sure someone will point out, I'm not the NHRA, so you can all keep cheating. In the end you're just cheating yourselves right out of the ability to race in the NHRA anyway.

And exactly where in the post you quoted did I say anything about the AHFS or gaming the AHFS? Try to stay on point here. You're trying to tell people how it is okay to get run over by these cars, because it will help the class, and the guys getting beat should just take it and like it. I say your argument doesn't hold water. So you bring up the AHFS?

And honestly, since you brought up the AHFS, let's examine that subject. While a very few of the old school AA cars can run a little more than 1.0 under the new index of 10.60, how many of them do you think are fast enough to force ANY of the new cars to run 1.25 under the new index and actually get HP? Care to take a guess? Get back to us when you can explain how the older cars will make the AHFS work for them.
