![]() ![]() I suppose there must be some amount of drama to sell movies. I just hope the facts of bracket racing are not blurred and exagerated like NASCAR was in "Days of Blunder"....er.. I mean thunder. One frame the car is clean...the next frame the car is filthy..then clean...then dirty...and so on.....LOL

The trailer I saw made me think all "Days of Thunder all over again". I'm from Oklahoma, and I don't know anybody with necks that red.

I really hate to say this but that's actually a pretty typical shot of farmingtpn dragway...I would have to say after being a part of plenty of bracket races at the farm that's a pretty dead on portayal of a typical scene during a bracket race and there is no too red in nc .....

Unfortunately, when they make a movie there are parts that are not realistic. But the exposure value can be a good thing. This was the case when the movies "Backdraft" and "Ladder 49" came to theaters. Being a retired Career Firefighter, it was painfull to watch some of the fire scenes. They were very unrealistic, but to the public they were exciting. And being a Firefighter was a neat thing an earned it's due respect! When they portray something that you love, but don't get it all the way right....it hurts a little. I would rather see something a little closer to a documentary. Something that would showcase real competition. The problem is can they sell it to people, if it does'nt have some violence, sex, or love story. We all know real drag racing has plenty of it's own drama! LOL As for the red necks, I'm OK with them for sure. Drag racing transcends many culture lines for a common good of the sport. But I hope this does'nt cause folks that dislike red necks, to become prejudice against hot rodders and/or drag racers!
