Has a legal stocker cam and a good set of valve springs, C4 trans and 5.13 gears with 30" tires. On a good day it will run .30 under the O/SA index at 3315 pounds. Your 4.6 should have no problem running in the low 13's to high 12's.
Charlie, I`m guessing that you swapped out the AOD over the winter, what type of gain did you find with the C4?

Tar Heel your car is a natural E/PS add weight to F/PS that's an 8.90 index.

Tar Heel,

NMRA Digital and hit the forums..

here is great potential with the 4.6 modular engines.

1999 was the first year for the PI (Performance Improved) heads and intake which flow nicely,
4.30 gears are great for the 5 speed modular.

We have a mostly stock 2003 GT Auto Coupe with nothing more than gears and a hand held programmer the car went 14.00 last year right off the interstate.

Depending on location there are many shops (Modular Depot) comes to mind if your close to Ky, Oh, In.

I am actually thinking of going the same route as you.

I could be reading the classification sheet incorrectly but isn't a stick car listed as 11.98 which would be a natural D car? The automatic is 12.something which would be an E car. It's very early here so maybe I looked at it wrong or am not reading it correctly.

Pure Stock has an unwritten rule...IF you run the OEM trans....reduce 5Hp for FI cars ....you can run D/PS

??....never heard that.

I have read the rules for P/S over and over, and came away with the impression that the ONLY trans I can run is the type that was original from the factory. ( for my 95 GT it is an electonically controlled AODE )

Greg: please enlighten me on the use of a trans that is not "OEM" for my model year.
I would love to be able to run a regular AOD.
