I think it was actually Butner who hit it first this last weekend

Besides how hard is it for them to claim it is a 2012

:-) peace

Hey Ron,
Congrats on your good showing in 'Vegas.
There a few differences between the 2010 and 2012 Mustangs in stock, most notably the camshafts, which as you could imagine, isn't a quick change.

See you at the races,
Wayne Kerr

They will change the pulley on the supercharger and leave the cams alone, the 2012 has more lift than the 2010.

I'd like to be the fly on the wall at the meeting in Glendora trying to figure out how they'll sneak them back into Stock. They'll be a lot of squirming in the cushy padded seats in the board room.

From a very reliable source, it's already a done deal. Three new weight break classes will be added over the winter. 6, 6.5, and a 7.0

Common sense would put these specific classes in SS if for nothing else the common weight breaks with SS/A,B and C.

Where does a 6# class car go when it gets enough power to no longer be eligible for stock?

Ed:
First they'll conduct a bogus survey that say stock racers are clamoring for new and lower weight breaks as indicated above. Along with an new AAAA/S class.
Then they'll say we asked for lower class indices because we been working on our stuff.
Third, they will allow a marine cams that are a drag pak option that lowers the hp by 200 hp over advertised street cars.
Fourth they'll defend items 1,2 and 3 as good for the sport.
You'll hear: People are gonna line the fences like they did this year. Everyone coming back from Iraq will order one like back in the 60's when Viet Nam vets came home. Oh yeah!!
It's funny how the same guys who took out mortgages to buy a new race car are now telling others to get out of the 60's. But then they are the first to say race on "Sunday, sell on Monday."
Golly, just like the 60's. Except this ain't the 60's socially or economically.

Didn't your Gremlin have a 440 six pack drag pak option, Ed??

Have a great day.
JC
