No rollbar required if you run 10.00 @ 134 MPH ?
^^^^ does not apply to S/SS I saw this on page 10 about their Street Legal program and the way I interprupt it to mean is that if you run that series and have a 2008 or newer car (that is un-altered) you do not need a rollbar to run up to 10.0 flat @ 134 . (excluding convertibles and t-top cars) I'm sure the 2013 GT500 owners as well as the 2012 ZL1 owners will thank NHRA. Screenshot: ![]()

Is an automatic now legal in a car that was only offered from the factory with a stick such as the 1993 Cobra Mustang? That combo was only made with a five speed but would be killer with a C4.

I've heard all the talk but has anyone confirmed the aftermarket seat rule and is it only for original bucket seat cars or bench seat cars also?

Neil, just what is it that you're trying to say? I've always found the NHRA to be exactly like FOX News, Fair and Balanced. ;<)

I sent an e-mail also to my local technical director asking if the Kirkey seat would be ok if properly installed . I was told that the rules did not say "approved" aftermarket seats so the seat I selected should be ok. I was asked to send in a picture of the seat I wanted to use which I immeadiately did. Haven't heard back from them since I sent in the picture. I guess they may be refining the rule change.
The Kirkey seat will not even remotely look stock in my 64 Savoy but I like the idea of being a whole lot safer in the Kirkey seat rather than sliding around on a 50 year old bench seat. Being able to move a lot of weight to the back of the car is nice too. ![]()
