It's definately the right color Jack.
![]() Danny here is a few photos of the car. It's car #65 and has the 327 w/2.9L Whipple blower. We picked it up on Dec 14th. Next to last batch of COPO's delivered. The pickup went great we were treated to tours of the Wixom facility both the race shop and engine assembly. Everyone at GM was fantastic and went out of their way to make our trip enjoyable. |

Thanks Clay,,,,these cars are too cool. I'm wondering if someday down the road, when we all look back, that perhaps the 2.9 cars might be the rarest of the lot. I'm sure the majority are of course the 427 cars, and it seems that quite a few 4.0 cars were built.
Does anyone have the breakdown on how many of each version was produced? Have fun with your new toy. Danny Durham |

Yes the 2.9s seem be rare. I see a lot of 427s and 4.0s. I'm curious on the numbers also. I'm lookin forward to running one of the 2.9 COPOs against my 2.9 CJ but they seem to be few and far between.
Congrats BTW on your new Hot Rod.

Danny I haven't heard any final production numbers but I did see some percentages mentioned. It broke down to something like 42 427's, 21 4.0L's, and 6 2.9L's cars. Keep in mind that some optioned to get all 3 engines so there are more engines than cars. I assume at some point they will list the final build numbers now that all are complete. Still it looks to shake out that the 2.9L is the rarest by far.
D. Johns Thanks! I know of two 2.9L cars in Div 3 so you will likely have some competition. ![]() |

Cosmetically how is the COPO different from a standard showroom model, besides the hood?
