Pro Stock is out dated at this time, there are no 500 inch cars with 2 carbs any longer. The Pro Stock class of today are funny cars but with doors. Pro Stock should go back to a backed halfed bodies in white, with flat hoods. Fuel injected, no more then 370 ci. It would bring alot of different combinations and new faces into the field. It wouldn't be the same 22 cars that show up. Let the cars come back to Pro "Stock" It would bring the class closer to the modern day vehicles. Also the cost to run one would come back down to reason. Just a different look at the class.

The only way the cost would go down is outlaw wealthy people from racing Pro Stock. Not going to happen.

Isn't that the purpose of drag racing? To eliminate wealth?

You guys are missing it, just like NHRA Today. In their coverage they cover the crew chiefs and anytime they switch, change and fire someone. You have too look a little harder, but people are moving around that work in Pro Stock and these personel changes take knowlege with them. If NHRA Today covered this in their coverage it might make more sense and more people would pay attention.

And that keeps Pete busy. Yet another dinosaur that builds his own engines.

As good as he is with the engines, he is even better setting up a car. The work he did on my Sunfire is beyond words.

This is him working on my stuff.

They aren't eliminating wealth, they are simply redistributing it. Hear that sucking sound from Glendora?
