Probably a fine and a 1 year suspension. The first problem you would have is some wouldn't have the guts(ill use that word) to do it. If you think I wouldn't you don't know me to well.

The starter looked over and ignored to check it out for himself. Seconds later I stuffed it into the wall. It went straight for the center line and I tried to steer it back but it got away from me.

And keep in mind my car owner never would have stopped me after the burnout unless there was something wrong.

Here's the video. http://smg.photobucket.com/user/HVY2...ARTON.mp4.html

At Englishtown my car owner asked the starter if he could drag the track to do something about the bald spots. His reply was that there wasn't enough time because they had a schedule to stick to. Boy, we feel really important. I paid my entry fee didn't I?

BTW, I'm taking donations to pay for this fine if anyone is feeling generous. I'm 33 years old and I'm trying to support my family. The last thing I have is $2500 to pay for this absurd fine for trying to speak up.

And one more thing. The letter I received mentioned several times about how they want to keep everything at a professional level. How is neglecting the starting line being professional? And how professional was the starting line crew when they were flat out ignoring everyone. People were even getting booted off the line for looking at it. If the track was any good nobody would bother to look ahead of time.
David, sorry about the mishap. I beleive as long as they keep using PJ1 traction compound the problem will continue. Conditions will get much worst when the track surface gets above 100. All you need to do is just walk on the starting line and see if your shoe sticks to the track???? I am sure you have experienced a track like that. Ever since they started using PJ1 the starting line has not been sticky. This is a real problem for high HP cars. At No Problem, when you would walk on the track, it would pull your shoes off! In 2013, I have not noticed my shoes coming off and bald spots a plenty. The only thing different is everyone is using PJ1! That's what I noticed.

They don't want the track that sticky, it pulls the nitro cars tires apart.
In the past you almost never had this kind of problem, they changed something.
The summer nationals was always smoking hot!!!

I know I am not very smart but why can't the pros with their 20 employees on the starting line figure out how to get down the track with a Pro Stock and Sportsman prep?

FYI, PJ1 is VHT, the manufacturer just changed the name:

All I was trying to do was set the record straight that NHRA uses PJ1 that is made by PJ Harvey's company that use to make VHT. not a VP product. PJ sold off his paint company that also used the VHT name and the name went with it, so he re-branded the traction glue to PJ1. If there are drums labeled VHT left out there they are at least 3 years old.
Yes NHRA did use VPs glue for a year, about 8 or 9 years ago they went back to VHT now PJ1 after that one year.
I'm sorry you've had an issue at LVMS, I have just taken the director job this January and have been working hard with our crew to bring back the track conditions to meet the high horsepower world of today's racing.
