Maybe Mr. Kohutek will call me back. If that is true, then that sucks. If a racer is going thru all the trouble to set a record and teardown, and the 1/8th mile timers are already on anyway, then why not let 'em go for both records ?

you get both at NHRA just make sure you request it

Since you get the 1/8th times on a 1/4 mile pass, what could be the reasoning there?

Just got off the phone with the Div. 4 director and he did not have a problem with setting both 1/8 and 1/4 at the same time.
Even better, they will seal my engine before the record attempts so I can race Sat. and Sun. , then do the teardown at the London , KY event. ![]() Nice.

the following week we went to pittsburg and set the SS/MA record and were turned down again. back then we were getting 5 points for every record we could set and I was told that was the reason we could not set both the 1/4 and 1/8 well we got luckey and got the championship that year anyway it wasn't about the points for us back then, it was the pride and the glory
