If it's a stock eliminator car,you can't run more capacity,and that's where I was going with this.

There's a whole lotta Stockers that can go 8,000+/- RPM and they are supposedly using the factory pans per the rule book. And I don't see in the rule book that you can notch the k-frame because why would you need to if you were running the stock pan, per the rules?
And if 5 quarts isn't enough, the rulebook does allow the use of an Accu-Sump. Or maybe 3 quarts in the pan, 1 quart or so in the filter and 3 quarts in the Accu-Sump... ![]()

Over fill the pan and use an accumulator to bring oil level down. My engine has never seen 8000 rpm, in fact I have a 9000 rpm tach. and the top third of it is never used.
