I see a lot of marketing flaws when I see cars and parts for sale. I often think half of the problem is not the economy, it's the poor marketing that hurts the most.
Put some pictures in the ad, not a suggestion as to where to find pictures of the car. You should have a front 3/4, a rear 3/4, an under hood and interior. If you don't know how to put a picture in the ad, ask for help. Put a price in the ad. Fishing for offers is not the way to sell something! Details on the entire car. Don't write a book, keep it simple. But if you've got Oliver Rods or something comparable, mention it. The guy selling the '68 Camaro just like yours may have Chinese rods in it and that may make your ad a notch higher. List any awards or career hi-lites. Good luck!

I agree 100% with what Jeff Lee has suggested for a successful ad; especially the bit about the price.Putting a price in your ad saves both the seller and prospective buyers from wasting time on calls or emails when there is no chance that they'll come to a deal.
The only other thing that I would suggest is to put where you are located in the ad. |
